Banbury & Bicester College was the venue for the 68th Banbury & District Chamber of Commerce. Annual General Meeting.
Simon Smith, Wellers, was elected as Financial Director and Richard Hunter stepped down as Chairman after two years service and was automatically elected as President.
The following business men and women were elected to the board to serve until the 2017 Annual General Meeting:-

- Nick Poole – Fort Locks Storage
As well as electing the new board the subscriptions were raised by 5%. From 2016 the following prices will be applied:-
1 to 3 £94.00
4 to 25 £146.00
26 to 75 £192.00
76 to 150 £224.00
151+ £263.00
Following the formalities of the evening the Chamber held a Quiz night sponsored by Wellers Accountants. The College provided a sensational curry as well as onion bhaji’s, poppadoms, pitta bread, vegetables and condiments.
There were 10 teams with quiz rounds from Science and Nature to Famous Buildings and Pot Luck to Sport, Accountants Whitley Stimpson were crowned the winners even though a round of soap and reality stars were included for the first time to try and topple the professionals!
Once again, this was a thoroughly enjoyable evening which is becoming a staple in the Chamber event calendar.
