After a peripatetic childhood with homes and schools in the UK and abroad, Jo gained a BSc in Business Management at Oxford Brookes. Following graduation, she found employment in regional food marketing in Sussex and Surrey, supporting local food and drink businesses. She quickly rose to become MD of the agency, where she developed close links with Food from Britain and the Ministry of Agriculture. This is where she met her husband, Anthony, a Savoy trained Chef, combining their mutual interests in food and drink.
19 years ago, Jo and Anthony moved from the South Coast to take over a failing gastro pub in Farnborough, building it up to become a popular destination restaurant of choice. Building on their success, they founded Indulgence Boutique Hospitality 14 years ago – which has become one of the leading caterers of the region, specialising in top level corporate events and weddings. Their most recent initiative is setting up Hospitality Heroes, a consultancy supporting businesses who wish to boost their catering capabilities and activities.
Jo enjoys a remarkably busy life; in addition to raising two teenage children and a close involvement through directorships of her companies, she shares a mutual love of cooking and entertaining with Anthony. She loves travel …. anywhere near a beach, the cinema, book club membership and long treks with her rescue dog in the beautiful local countryside. Her latest interest is a volunteering role at Katharine House Hospice.
