Nick Poole

A first job in Sales Administration for a small greeting card firm in London set Nick on an unusual career in Sales & Marketing, working in a number of industries including media (Virgin), financial services (Creation Financial Services, Petplan Insurance) and forensic security (SmartWater).

He has worked at Board level in B2B as well as B2C environments, with an understanding of respective marketing strategies and channels.

Nick and his family moved to Middleton Cheney in 1997. Following his career in marketing, Nick re-joined his wife Annie as a Director/Owner of Fort Locks Self Storage, a business which she had successfully built since 2003. Nick has given some time to being a Parish Councillor, assisting on issues of planning. He has also been involved as a volunteer in the Banbury Canal Partnership, the Banbury Civic Society and for the last four years, the Banbury Chamber of Commerce, which he currently chairs. Nick has been instrumental in getting the Banbury BID ‘over the line’ and is looking forward to seeing the difference it makes to a vibrant and thriving Banbury. He is also a Director of the Self Storage Association (UK).

Nick is a keen walker and occasionally useful on a tennis court.
