Simon Smith

Simon is a partner of Wellers who heads up the Banbury office with responsibility for the firm’s clients in North Oxfordshire and the East Midlands.

He delivers professional advice to small and medium sized organisations in a wide range of sectors, acting as the equivalent of their Finance Director with responsibility for their outsourced finance function.

In this role Simon works closely with owner managers and board members, analysing the financial performance of their businesses. This provides entrepreneurs with insight as to what the numbers mean, informing both strategic and investment based decision making. His clients are then able to focus on the development of their companies safe in the knowledge that he and his team are also handling all the time consuming compliance and regulatory items on their behalf.

As well as being the Finance Director of the Banbury Chamber of Commerce he takes an active role in a local Charity acting as treasurer. Married with one son, he enjoys most sports in his spare time and has represented Oxfordshire at both hockey and cricket. He is a hugely erratic golfer.
