Base Performance simulators were our host for our most recent company visit last Tuesday 23rd September 2014.
Members were welcomed with light refreshments and a delightful choice of coffee and teas from the ever popular Dolce Gusto coffee machine whilst signing the health & safety forms, just in case!
With 2 simulators to chose from, the single seat (F1 style) and a 2 seat GT simulator (Aston Martin), the members were split in to two groups to have a go.
With a large library of car models and international race tracks to choose from around the world everyone had the opportunity to race where they wanted to. The single-seater simulator complete with a five metre wraparound screen created a fully immersive driving environment. Whilst seated in the cockpit members were surrounded by high resolution graphics from floor to ceiling and professional quality speakers delivered realistic sound.
Paul Angus, Chamber Director commented. “An outstanding evening. Can’t wait to get back to Spa in that Aston Martin again. It’s great to know of yet another small local company that are producing such great work and the fact that it can put a small smile on the face of all us petrol heads is a lovely bonus.”
