This year’s finalists for the Banbury Women in Business Awards have been announced. Now in the ninth year, the prestigious awards represent and acknowledge the accomplishments of the finest business women currently working in the town.

BWIB committee have managed to secure two amazing speakers this year:

Michelle Niziol, Founder and CEO of IMS Property Group. A successful businesswoman and self-professed workaholic, Michelle Niziol, Founder and CEO of IMS Property Group, has worked in the finance and property industry for more than a decade. After qualifying as a mortgage broker in 2005, she established her own business, IMS Independent Mortgage Solutions, for which she has won several awards. Michelle went on to launch IMS Property Solutions and IMS Letting Solutions in 2015 due to high demand from existing clients. She was a candidate on BBC’s The Apprentice in 2016 and Vice-President of ARLA Propertymark.


Samantha Murray, a British Modern Pentathlete. At 22, Samantha Murray is a British Modern Pentathlete, who wrote herself into history books as Olympic Silver Medallist at the London 2012 Olympics. A year later in 2013, Sam graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in French and Politics. A World Championship title in 2014 added to Sam’s achievements followed by qualification for the Rio Olympic Games in 2015. A five-time British Champion, Sam is a multi-lingual, engaging, public speaker who enjoys sharing her experiences of a career in elite sports.


Marie Parkinson, Director at OJI Marketing and BWIB Committee member said: “We are absolutely thrilled for all the finalists, they represent some truly outstanding work that is being done within the Banbury area. Together with them and the fantastic speakers, Michelle and Samantha, this year’s awards and conference is set to be a great event. Talking about our theme of succeeding through diversity, we hope that attendees will learn something, as well as feel motivated to face challenges or make changes personally or in their business.”


Banbury Women in Business is a not for profit” organisation, so no membership fees, you just pay when you attend.  In addition to their annual conference and awards, they offer quarterly networking lunches too.
