Centenary of The Peoples Park

On 14th July, the Town Council is arranging a fantastic celebration of the centenary of the Peoples Park, involving a grand procession (headed by a fine lady on a white horse), and it is hoped that the Park itself, will be crowded with stalls, activities and that the people of Banbury, for whom the Park is named, and for whom the event is intended, will attend it in droves!

I am working with both the Council and with a group of neighbours who how live adjacent to the Park in arranging this, and it will be a great opportunity for members to be involved in a wonderful event that will also provide a fantastic shop window for all of our services and products. Any enquiries about having a stall, hosting the tea tent, or having a place in the procession can be channelled through me, Steve Kilsby, at stephen.kilsby@royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk, or by contacting Ann Sewell at the Town Council directly.

There will be games, stall, presentations, opportunities to share memories of the Park and general bonhomie; even if you are not going to be there on business, come along and be a part of a very special event in Banbury on Sunday, July the 14th!
