Company Spotlight – Finders Keepers

This month’s ‘company spotlight’ is Finders Keepers. Emma Croft-Pearson, Office Manager answers a few questions:-

1.     How long has Finders Keepers been members of the Chamber?

We joined Banbury Chamber in 2011. I’m new to the Chamber having recently taken over from Paul Rushworth.

2.     What are the major benefits for your company being members of the Chamber?

Building relationships with likeminded professionals in the area in order to build trust for mutually beneficial results.

3.     Brief background of the company.

We are a specialist letting agent, family owned and independent since 1972.  With 8 offices throughout Oxfordshire we concentrate solely on acquisition, letting and property management.  Our values, scrupulous, helpful, expert and dynamic are bred into us and over 80% of our staff are NFOPP qualified.

4.     Within the company what is your role?

Office Manager for our Banbury Office.  I come from a property management background and have managed clients and their properties for almost 12 years.

5.     What are the main things going on in your company at the moment?

It’s really busy so most importantly we are seeking more quality properties to let.  The Banbury rental market is extremely buoyant at present.  We specialise in both town and village properties ranging from 1 bedroom flats to 6+ bedroom country houses.

We are also continuing to develop staff with new recruits studying for the NFOPP level 3 and 4 qualifications, finalising some internal housekeeping projects to ensure we are prepared to continue to offer excellent service and starting to work on our new financial year budgets ready for the release of next year’s business plan.  Our latest company newsletter has just been launched, we are looking for opportunities to promote our brand locally in Banbury and the surrounding area and about to release our 2015 Client Events calendar, and these are specially selected events that we offer to each of our clients throughout the year.  Along with our regular seminars, in the past they have included driving days, wine tasting and an exclusive tour of Stowe School and gardens.

6.     Do you think the business environment in Banbury is thriving?

Yes. With the Longford Park development bringing people to the area, the great transport links to London, Birmingham and Oxford there continues to be huge opportunities.

I’m confident that the canal side and Banbury Gateway developments will bring more to us all and it’s great to see employment opportunities being created by Mondelez as they invest in their Banbury plant.
