Company Spotlight – Spratt Endicott

This month’s ‘company spotlight’ is Spratt Endicott.    Hitendra Patel answers a few questions:-

1.     How long has Spratt Endicott been members of the Chamber?

Shoosmiths in Banbury were members for over 20 years and when Spratt Endicott demerged in 2002, we felt it was important to continue our membership.  John Spratt has been a former Chairman of the Chamber and I am proud to be a current Executive Board Member.

2.     What are the major benefits for your company being members of the Chamber?

Many of our clients and staff live and work in Banbury and the surrounding areas, so it is extremely important for us to be a member of the Chamber, as we can play an active part in the growth and development of the town.

3.     Brief background of the company.

Spratt Endicott is a Legal 500, nationally recognised law firm providing a full range of legal services to commercial and private clients.  We now have around 120 talented people working in 10 specialist departments.  Clients choose us for our specialist expertise and ability to achieve their objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.

4.     Within the company what is your role?

I am a Partner within the Company Commercial Department at Spratt Endicott.

In my role, I am fortunate to help new start-up businesses, as well as enjoying long-term relationships with established multi-national organisations.

5.     What are the main things going on in your company at the moment?

We are enjoying a busy period, with the opening of a new modern office in the centre of Brackley and the recent merger with established law firm, Alfred Truman Solicitors.  We are delighted to now offer individuals and businesses access to our full range of services from each of our office locations in Banbury, Brackley, Bicester and Buckingham.  Spratt Endicott remain committed to helping our clients achieve their goals, supporting our staff to develop and being an active part in the Banbury business community.

6.     Do you think the business environment in Banbury is thriving?

We are certainly busy and there seems to be more optimism and activity within the business environment.  Two key events that Spratt Endicott are very involved with the Chamber, are The Banbury Women in Business Awards and The Cherwell Business Awards – which are both fabulous initiatives acknowledging and celebrating the success of entrepreneurs and businesses right here on our doorstep.  It is inspiring to hear their stories and it is exiting to be a part of it.
