I am delighted to be given an opportunity by the Banbury Chamber of Commerce to introduce myself. I am Richard Brown and I am the new Centre Manager at Bloxham Mill Business Centre.
Prior to joining Bloxham Mill I worked in both Contract & Stakeholder Management roles for a large FTSE250 Outsourcing Company. During my time managing and working with stakeholders, I quickly realised the importance of making individuals feel cared for, special and respected. A number of the skills I gained along the way have transferred well to my new environment, as my current focus is around supporting small, medium and large businesses. Some of whom are choosing a flexible office lease for the first time.
I joined Bloxham Mill at the start of November and I am already really enjoying my time here at the Business Centre. I feel very fortunate to be managing such a cutting-edge business centre and yet I am surrounded by beautiful green countryside in the gorgeous village of Bloxham. The businesses and the clients that call Bloxham Mill their home are varied, interesting and absorbing and my objective over the coming months is to continue to build on the sense of community and wellness.
Although on the surface the business appears to be about simply supplying serviced offices of differing sizes to businesses, it is actually more about delivering excellent customer service to both the clients and their visiting clients. Some of the team have been at Bloxham Mill for over a decade and a number of clients have been here longer than that. Just two of the projects I am currently working on include the creation of a new Pilates Studio on site, so that clients can encourage their employees to stay active inside or outside of work hours. We are also setting up a series of Client Showcase Talks, which are free-to-attend talks delivered by local professionals of different sectors.
Having lived in Banbury since 2013, I am keen to open to the Business Centre up to local community events and charities. We have a selection of meeting rooms that are currently used by Young Enterprise, Chamber of Commerce and local Parish Councils, but I would like to find additional ways of supporting the profile of local organisations and community enterprises. If you think you know a not for profit organisation that could do with a place to work, place, meet or present then do get in contact with me via Richard.email@example.com
I am looking forward to attending the various upcoming Banbury Chamber of Commerce events and I hope to see you there.
