Let’s play! Building appeal

As an organisation that is in touch with key local businesses in Banbury we wanted to share the details of Let’s Play’s first ever Fundraising Appeal, the Let’s Play Big Build, launched just last week to raise funds to help us renovate our new centre for disabled children and young people. Our Project Manager, Deb Kerrison, worked in the Production Office at Norbar in the late 80s!

Let’s Play has been supporting local families in the community who have a disabled child since 2001. We currently support over 100 families but by moving to new premises we will be able to open our doors to more disabled children and young people in the area who need our support. We also want to be able to extend our services to families of younger pre-school children and those over 18. Our new premises will allow us to do just this.

We recently acquired a building in Twyford. It’s currently a dog training centre so we need new flooring, heating, a kitchen and outside fencing plus lots more to get the building ready to open in September ’17! We’re hoping to get the keys around the 1st July so will have approximately two months to get the works done.

We would love it if you could help us with our Appeal. Our Project Manager, Deb Kerrison, and one of our parents would be delighted to come and talk to you (and your staff) about the difference Let’s Play makes to disabled children in our community and see if there were any areas that you could help us make these new premises as engaging and stimulating as the young people deserve.

There are lots of ways that the local business community can get involved with the ‘Let’s Play Big-Build Appeal’

– Donate funds or materials

– Organise fundraisers

– Help with the renovation work

It would be fantastic to secure some charity partnerships to make this Appeal a success.
